Things to See & Do

Culture
Architecture lovers should amble around the streets of Tel Aviv to discover just why the White City is a world heritage site with over 1,000 Bauhaus buildings. Visit the Nahalat Binyamin Art Market, which is next to the busy Carmel Market entrance - a colourful bazaar packed with stalls of arts, crafts, souvenirs and gifts on Tuesdays and Fridays – with street theatre, musicians, jugglers and palm readers.

For the best view in Tel Aviv, go to The Azrieli Observatory; a monument to geometry 101, with triangular, rectangular and cylindrical glass and steel towers rising up 49 floors over the city.

Museums

Shopping
Tel Aviv is famous for its fine shopping. Head to Shenkin Street for young urban fashion and Kikar Hamedina for the more exclusive designer shops. Alternatively, there are a number of shopping malls dotted throughout Tel Aviv - Azrieli Center (132 Petach Tikva Road), the Dizengoff Center (50 Dizengoff Center), Gan Hair (69 Ibn Gvirol St), Ramat Aviv (40 Einstein Street), Arena (Herzeliya Marina), and Shivat Hochavim (Herzelyia) are the most notable.

Beaches

Tel Aviv offers miles of beautiful golden Mediterranean beaches with a bustling promenade, blessed with sunny days almost all year round. However, kite and wind surfing addicts will find the colder days heavenly. The beaches offer a huge range of water sports. For the adventurous visit Surf point located at the Tel Aviv boardwalk, north of the Dolphinarium (Tel: 972-3-5170099) or the Sea Center on the northern part of Tel Aviv’s coast by the Hilton Beach (Tel:972-3-5242139). Or if you just feel like basking in the sun head down to Jerusalem or Banana Beach on the southern most side (near the David Intercontinental Hotel) or stroll down to Gordon for the most popular beach, just in front of the Dan Hotel.
