Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia Dead Sea

The Gran Fondo offers group riders and competitive cyclists a wonderful opportunity to ride together. This tradition, which started back in the 70's in Italy and spread throughout Europe and North America, is now happening in Israel.
The Gran Fondo Israel at the Dead Sea is a challenging circular course with a total distance of 155KM/96.3 miles and a total of 1752 m / 1.09 miles 2220 M/7284 ft. elevation. The starting point will be in Ein Bokek, the hotels area at 400 meters/1300 ft below sea level, riding south along the shore of the Dead Sea towards the wild landscape of the Israeli desert, climbing the famous steep and twisted path of Ma'ale Akrabim (The Scorpions Pass) on towards the Hatrorim Junction (250 m /820 ft above sea level) and finishing in a non-competitive ride downhill to the finish line back at Ein Bokek.
