The winery was established in 2001 and it produces approximately 60,000 bottles annually. The winery building is inside an old cowshed which was renovated by the owners, the descendants of one of Kfar Vitkin’s founding families. In an adjacent building, which was also constructed over 70 years ago, is a tasting room for groups of between 8 and 18 participants which is also used for events. The winery’s grapes mostly come from vineyards throughout the country, and the varieties from which the wine is produced are unique to the Vitkin Winery. They include Carignan, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Franc, Johannesburg Riesling and Petite Sirah. A visit to the winery includes a guided tour of the wine production process, visiting the laboratory and the barrels room, as well as wine tastings in the unique tasting room. Visitors can also order meals, lectures and tours of the vineyard.
Only by prior arrangement.
