Riding and saluting
During April 21-24, the IDF will launch a cross - country bike ride from the Negev in the south to Israel’s northern corner. The ride will pass through the periphery, main cities and many heritage sites. Thousands of riders are planning to participate in the largest bike ride Israel ever experienced. 500 soldiers, joined by youth organization, professional riders, amateur riders, the Taglit Group and many others will lead the bike ride.
The ride will start at the Negev memorial and end in the city of Qazrin in the north. Upon the end of the long journey, a festive ceremony with military entertainment groups joined by veteran military entertainment groups will be held at the Zemach amphitheater.
The landscapes of Israel and the IDF heritage were always linked together in their heart and soul and therefore, the most genuine and direct activity is to bring soldiers and civilians together through the various sites, which throughout history, have absorbed the IDF heritage, through the pain of loss and the joy of triumph.
The Egged bus company will provide special buses for the riders.

Saluting with notes, military orchestras play peace
Come and experience, for the first time in history, a unique and special show featuring military orchestras from around the world joining in with the IDF orchestra.
The show will take place in Haifa, on Independence Day and will feature 10 military orchestras from around the world.
The show will create an unforgettable visual and musical experience combining music and ceremony, symbolism and festivity. The show will include a parade by the orchestras during which each orchestra will play a repertory of its songs. Upon the completion of the show, we will have a joint performance playing the IDF march, the song We’ve brought peace and the Israel anthem, Hatikva.
On the eve of this great performance, the orchestras will perform throughout the various settlements in southern and northern Israel, all to add “color” to the local Independence Day celebrations.
