Visitors to the Bible Lands Museum flow easily through ancient regions and historical periods as they move from one airy gallery to another in this open-design complex.

Yet every exhibit, large or small, keeps them anchored to one great theme – biblical heritage and the Bible lands.  The artifacts are displayed together with evocative quotes from Scripture, which help visitors realize that biblical figures - from the patriarchs and the matriarchs to Canaanite deities, Queen Esther and many more - and the tiny land of Israel are rooted in the myriad cultures and faiths, spanning the ancient Near East,from Egypt to Turkey, Mesopotamia and beyond.

You will come away enriched with greater understanding of the Bible’s influence on Western civilization and world events. The exhibit is even more amazing when you consider that it is the life-long collection of one man, Elie Borowski (1913-2003) who graced Jerusalem with this museum specifically to display these treasures. 

The museum also runs imaginative enrichment programs and special events, and its wine and cheese Saturday-night concerts are fixtures in the capital.
