BMI Press Release

2008 sees the fifth airline taking to the skies to the world-class destination of Tel Aviv. And this one has all the frills you need at prices that truly compete! Daily non-stop flights, no extra charge for baggage and the flights have been specifically scheduled to offer passengers well-timed connections to and from regional airports including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Dublin and Belfast. BMI is going to be upgrading from an Airbus A320 to 757 shortly after the route is launched, to meet demand.

Tel Aviv is one of the most exciting cities in the world. It is the commercial, cultural and financial hub of Israel. A thriving social scene provides a night life of cafes, bars, clubs and beach parties. The day light reveals a UNESCO World heritage site known as The White City, so called due to the largest concentration of Bauhaus buildings anywhere in the world.

Tel Aviv is known as ‘the city that never sleeps’ and is one of the newest cities in the world and it takes its place along side Jaffa, one of the oldest towns in the world. Visitors can wander through the market and arrive at the port mentioned in the bible, where Jonah was swallowed in the belly of a whale.

Israel is the size of Wales, so it is easy to see the rest of the country in just seven days! Branching out from Tel Aviv, visitors can experience Jerusalem, travel to the Dead Sea for some spa therapy, take a short flight or drive down to Eilat for a beach and snorkelling holiday on the Red Sea or even go up north for skiing or fresh, lush greenery in the hills overlooking the Sea of Galilee.

The first flight will be on 13th March, bookable at www.flybmi.com.
