Crusader Marble Pieces Uncovered
In an excavation recently conducted by the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA), 100 meters north of the Old City wall of Acre, a unique find was discovered from the Crusader period (the thirteenth century AD): a hoard of 350 marble items that had been collected from destroyed buildings.

Purim: The Happiest Holiday
As recounted in the Book of Esther, Purim commemorates the rescue of the Jewish people from the massacre plotted by Haman in ancient Persia in the late 6th century BC. The feast is called “Purim,” which is Hebrew for “lots,” because it is believed that Haman cast lots to determine what day the massacre would occur.
